Member Survey

Believe it or not, our curling year is drawing to a close. As a board, we are always looking for ways to improve the club and make changes to ensure that the curling experience you are having is a great one.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to complete a short survey to provide us with your thoughts on how this season went, and what you would like to see us work on next year so that 2018-2019 can be an even more successful year!

Your feedback will be shared with the board and a summary of key areas will be shared at this year's upcoming AGM.

We value your membership and your feedback. Without your comments and suggestions, we will not have the opportunity to improve.

Little Rocks / Bantams:

This is our popular kids program that runs on Sundays between 1pm and 3pm. League starts mid October and runs to the end of March.

Children age five to eleven learn the basics of curling using little rocks which weigh only 20lbs.

The twelve to sixteen year old bantam players use the regular 40lbs rocks.

The club provides instruction as well as sliders and brooms.

Children are to be dressed warmly, and have a clean pair of running shoes with rubber soles.

A helmet or protective head gear is highly recommended for children under the age of 12, and is mandatory for children less than the age of 6 that will be on the ice.

New Horizons Senior League:

Timmins New Horizons Seniors' Curling League is a club run for seniors over age 50 and are interested in recreational curling.

Members have the option to curl up to three times a week.

On Tuesday and Thursday games are played in the morning with one draw at 9:00 a.m. and a second draw at 10:30 a.m. Games are six ends in duration.

On Wednesday there is only one game of eight ends and is a little more competitive.

The season lasts from late October to the beginning of April each year and members can choose to curl as many or as few times as they wish.
